Discussing how to compose the Music Video

Image
Hey blog I am back once again. Today I will be discussing how what editing app me and my group mate would like to use. This was mainly a conversation that me and him had. Our first thought was about using Capcut but with this app there is a watermark at the end of the video that you make. Our teacher told us that unlike the commercial we made, our music video cannot have this at the end of the video. So with that being said that was the end of Capcut's journey. There were many of other editing apps that were mentioned as well. For example iMovie, Adobe, etc. Him and I were considering adobe but when we were looking into it we noticed a setback. That to be able to use adobe we would have to purchase the app. This is not something we were looking forward to even though it was one of the better known apps and I'm sure that it has its premium feature which is why it has a price on it. I kept looking at other apps and there were not really much more. Another thing that we realized

Adventures at Xtremes

Hey blog I'm back once again! All that was left to film was the bit at this amusement center called Xtreme Action Park. I once again had to go pick up my group mate and from his house it was not much of a drive it was only like six minutes. When we arrived there I had to park and based on storyboard the first clip had to be a shot of just the location we were at. At Xtreme there is a massive logo on the building so we just filmed that and said it was more than enough. This clip was about five-seven seconds long. We entered the building and when we walked inside we were greeted by security. After we passed security we had to go to the front and ask if we could just be there for film purposes. The staff told us that we needed an adult just to go around the building, but luckily for us we knew people that work there. I knew a manager and a few coworkers that works there. I managed to be able to contact the manager and asked them and we were in the green! We had to record just a few s

Recording session continued!

Hey blog, it's yours truly, Carlos! I need to be able to film some more scenes for my music video. I thankfully was able to clear my schedule and asked my group mate if he would like to tag along for this bit of filming. He was down to go so I had to go pick him up. From his house the park we were going to was about ten minutes away. When we arrived we decided to film according to storyboard. Based on scene six we would have to film a different sport, however we both do not play sports and had to take the opportunity to ask people if they were comfortable with us recording them play. After their consent we filmed, thank them and left. We were glad that it did not take long and very grateful that these people were fine with us recording them. After this we needed to film the scene about the walk in a nature park. Luckily the park we were at has a nature park in the same park so him and I went to this section of the park. When we got there it was empty like how it usually is and we

First Bit of Recording!

Hey blog, I am once again back! Today I will be discussing a part of what I did when I had to record for the music video. Me and my teammate discussed that it would be easier if I record a part of the sport part by myself. Like said in the storyboard there will be multiple scene involving sports. One scene would just be a group of people playing a sport. I go to the park a lot with my friends to play soccer. So I was like why not just record it while I am already there. We both like that idea and now I just had to wait till I went to the park again to go play with my friends. After some time I was finally able to go to the park to play with them but It was not as easy to record it. I told my friends my plan and they were not fully up to it. I feel like they felt this way because when we would all play, we usually play shirts and skins. Some of them are not comfortable being shirtless on camera so I told them it did not matter and they can keep it just to make it seem like it was a gam

Planning the storyboard

Hey blog its me again! This is yet another blog about production but this is the start of how the music video is coming a reality. Although this blog will not be about editing or filming. This blog is rather on what had to be done prior that. What I mean by that is how a storyboard had to be done in order to have some sort of game plan or an idea of what is to be done for the music video. I had to find my group member and had a conversation with him about this. We were stuck for a very long time. Not a single thought came into our head. Eventually we started talking about our song choice. Since we knew that the music video had to had some sort of story that went with it we had to read between the lines on what the song was about. The song gave a summer vibe. This was perfect because there were many things that could be done for summer that can be filmed. I had to search up some ideas to give us an idea on what to film. There were many ideas that were named. Some of these ideas were ei

Planning for my Music Video

Hey blog, hope everything is going great! Today our group is planning out how to do the music video.    Song Title -  The song that was decided on was "Heat Waves" by the band Glass Animals.     Props -  Throughout the video, a variety of props will be used depending on the scenes. These props will include polaroid pictures, sunglasses, a cell phone, beach towels, and a phone camera stabilizer. However, more props might be used once the filming officially starts.    Costumes -  The costumes for the individuals in the video would include streetwear, beach attire, and anything that the actors deem comfortable for the chosen location.   Schedule -   In order to have sufficient time for filming, most of the filming will be done on the weekends when most people are available to film. Some of the filming will also be done on days without school since there will be plenty of time available. However, if the weather or other variables affect our schedule of filming, the group wil

Assembling the GROUP!

Hey blog I'm back once again! Today in class we were assigned a project. This project was a music video. My teacher said that this project could be done by yourself or with a group that goes to four people at most. I was debating about doing it on my own but I just knew that It would be a lot of work to do by myself in the month that I had to complete it. Unfortunately I do not talk to people in my class to have anyone. The people besides me were already discussing about their group and I thought they would've asked me but I was wrong. They asked someone else to fill up their group, I just thought to myself "I guess I'm going to have to do it on my own", but that's when I turned around and I seen a friend of mine. I went up to him and I tapped him on his shoulder and I simply asked if he was in a group and thankfully he was not. After that basically meant we were working together. We tried to see if we can get anyone else in our group but everyone either had

Introduction to the Music Video

Hello my name is Carlos Guerra. Let's begin with getting to know a little bit about myself. I was born on November 18th, 2005. I have no siblings so I am the only child in my family, and I only live with both of my parents.      I am currently a high school student in the 12th grade that attends Fort Lauderdale High. The reason I decided to go to the school was to get into the Cambridge magnet program and this is my final year to obtain the Aice diploma which means I have to make it count. The whole reason I decided to go to Fort Lauderdale was for the Aice diploma and if I don't get it then it would've been pointless cause not a lot of school give the opportunity like Fort Lauderdale does. Fort Lauderdale has been good though and I am not regretting coming here. I've made a couple of friends that helped these years going by pretty fast.      I have a couple of hobbies I like to do in my free time. One hobby is going to go play soccer with my friends. It would b
